Unlike the commonly known plums, damson plums are smaller, oval-shaped blue fruits with a distinctive tart taste. Ideal for making jams, jellies, and even some wines, damson plums also grow on a variety of the date palm tree.

These sweet, chewy fruits come in many varieties, but all share a rich, almost caramel-like flavor and a high fiber content. Dumpling Squash
