Frozen waffle fries in an air fryer are one of our favorite foods. What we love the most about this air fryer recipe is that you can make it in approximately 13 minutes. And the results are just as good (if not better) as deep frying, plus there’s no need for oil.
If you’re craving a salty snack, you should try these air fryer waffle fries. They’re extra crispy and go well with all your favorite dips, like our Boom Boom Sauce or our Copycat Outback Ranch Dressing.
Cooking Frozen Waffle Fries in Air Fryer
Making homemade fries in an air fryer is so simple. You’ll only need a bag of frozen waffle-cut fries. You can also use sweet potato waffle fries, french fries, or curly fries if you want.
The best part of this recipe is that there’s no need for extra oil. The hot air of the air fryer is all you’ll need to make some delicious and crispy fries. Although you can add a splash of olive oil to the fries once they’re in the air fryer basket, for some extra flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 bag of frozen waffle fries
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer per the model’s instructions to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- When your air fryer is heated, pull out the air fryer basket and lay your fries in a single layer. It’s ok if they overlap slightly. But you don’t want the air fryer basket to be crowded. If the basket is too crowded, your fries won’t get crispy.
- Cook your frozen waffles for 13 minutes on air fryer mode, flipping fries halfway through the cooking time or when your model reminds you.
- When the waffles fries are done, remove them from the basket and serve immediately with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
