One pot recipe ideas not only have to be quick and easy, they also need to taste great. McCormick Parmesan Alfredo Pasta Seasoning makes all of that possible! Creamy Parmesan Alfredo Tortellini is a tasty One Pot Recipe that can be made in less than 15 minutes!
Just imagine the shock on their faces when you bring this to the table on a busy weeknight. Creamy, zesty and packed with flavor. This dish screams comfort food to me.
Why This One Pot Recipe?
With 2 very busy teens and 2 working parents, finding a one-pot recipe that is not only simple to make, but tastes amazing is high on the priority list. These are teen boys ya’ll, they need something that is going to fill them up (if that is possible with teen boys). Pasta is a popular go-to dish around here, especially during a chaotic weeknight.
I do like to use my crockpot for dishes like Slow Cooker Parmesan Honey Pork Roast and other family favorite Recipes. But let’s face it, even cooking in the crockpot takes a little time and preparation. Sometimes you just need a walk in the door, recipe-free kind of meal.
McCormick Pasta Seasoning Blends To The Rescue!
We have been using McCormick seasonings in our home for as far back as I can remember. I use to love watching my Gram cook, adding a little of this and a dash of that, always homemade and always McCormick. We love to cook from scratch, but in reality that just isn’t always possible. However, I don’t like to sacrifice flavor when I do have to take a few shortcuts.
McCormick Pasta Seasoning Blends allow me to bring our favorite pasta dishes from the stove to the table in a fraction of the time it would take to make them from scratch. McCormick’s NEW blends have no artificial colors or flavorings, they are versatile, have transparent ingredients, and allow for “recipe free cooking”.
You can find the NEW McCormick Pasta Seasoning blends right in the spice aisle at your local Walmart. There are three exciting bold flavors to choose from. McCormick White Cheddar Pasta Seasoning, McCormick Parmesan Alfredo Pasta Seasoning, and McCormick Sun-dried Tomato Basil Pasta Seasoning.
The Recipe: Creamy Parmesan Alfredo Tortellini
Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup McCormick Pasta Seasoning Blends – Parmesan Alfredo
- 3/4 Cup Milk (here’s a list of whole milk substitutes if you’re in a pinch)
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- Frozen Tortellini
Optional:
- defrosted frozen broccoli florets
- cooked chicken breast
Directions
In a large saucepan, cook tortellini according to the package. Drain the tortellini into a colander, don’t return it to the pot.
*TIP: When the tortellini is cooked they will all float to the top of the water.
Reduce the heat on your stove to medium. In the same pot that you cooked the tortellini in, prepare your parmesan alfredo sauce according to the package directions.
2 Tablespoons butter, 1/3 Cup McCormick Parmesan Alfredo Pasta Seasoning Blend, 3/4 Cup Milk – Cook until thickened (This took all of 3 or 4 minutes!)
Return the tortellini back to the pot and toss with the rich, creamy parmesan alfredo sauce. It really is as easy as adding the seasoning blend to water or milk and tossing it with your favorite pasta!
Add even more flavor and nutrients to the dish by adding some cooked broccoli florets and sliced chicken breast.
*Tip: To save even more time, you can purchase a cooked roasting chicken in the deli at Walmart also. They taste great, and the only thing you will need to do is cut it up and toss it with your pasta.
Serve on its own or with some crusty garlic bread and a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
