Customized Gifts Using Your Cricut

, the sky is the limit when it comes to creativity. There are so many designs and images in the Cricut Access files for just about every occasion imaginable. Which makes creating and crafting even easier.
Cricut Design Space
I knew right away I wanted to add a coffee themed quote to the Valentine’s Day Mug I was making. A quick search in the images and I found it. I searched for “coffee” and was looking for something with a cute font. I found this image, the heart inside the cup was an added bonus!
I wanted the mug to say “I Love You More Than Coffee” not Mama needs a coffee, a few clicks in design space and I was able to customize the image to my liking. Here is how I did it.
- I ungrouped the original image
- I removed the pieces that I wanted to replace (Mama needs a)
- I replaced the removed words with text “I Love You More Than” and rearranged them so they fit just right against the letters on the original image. The font I chose was AR ESSENCE which is a system font on my computer.
That is one of the best parts of having Cricut Access. There are over 60,000 images to choose from, something for every occasion for sure. You can use them as they come, or mix and match and combine a few to make your own. The possibilities are literally endless.
StyleTech Craft Extreme Glitter Vinyl
Once I had my design exactly how I liked it, I used StyleTech Crafts Ultra Metalic Glitter Vinyl
for the decal. This is the same vinyl I used on the Champagne Glass Tags and Champagne Glass. The glitter is over the top shiny, one of my absolute favs!
I had a lot of fun creating this Valentine’s Day Mug, I hope the recipient thinks of me everytime they take a sip. Have you had the chance to make your own custom images using the design space access files? I would love to hear what you came up with.
