Decoupage Spring Decor From Dollar Tree!
I have to admit since the boys are all grown, I don’t decorate for as many holidays or seasons as I use to. It is not that I don’t enjoy it, because I really do love it. Sometimes, life just gets busy and our priorities can change. This year I have decided to take the time to do what makes us smile. Adding bright, colorful pieces to our decor does just that. This decoupage project is not only beautiful and affordable, but it is also a very quick and easy springtime craft. One that you can do with the kids while they are home on their break. Here is how we made it.
All of my supplies were purchased at the Dollar Tree, I have provided Amazon links to the items or similar items for your convenience, or in case you are unable to make your way to your local Dollar Tree.

How To Decoupage Using Napkins
Originally I wanted the vase to be clear so I can add some pretty colorful stones. The napkins were a little too thin for this, they were very hard to see. I decided to add two coats of white craft paint to the glass vase before applying the decoupage.
Apply 2 – 3 coats of white craft paint to cover the vase. Allow each coat to dry before adding the next.
While you are waiting for the paint to dry, cut and trim your images from the napkin using sharp craft scissors. Get as close as you can to the image leaving a thin border around the edges. Don’t forget the embellishments like the tiny ladybugs and flowers.
Once the paint is completely dry, apply a thin coat of Mod Podge using a foam craft brush.
While the mod podge is still tacky, apply your napkin images gently. Smooth out any wrinkles or creases with your fingers or a foam paintbrush.
Once you have all the images onto your glass, apply a second coat of mod podge over the images. This will seal them and prevent them from peeling up. I covered the entire glass surface with a coat of mod podge to protect the paint as well.
Once it is dry, you can add flowers, candy or whatever you like to your decoupage spring decor. Try it on different sizes and styles of glass for a fun look.
