Cinnamon Fireball Eggnog Shots

This fantastic holiday shooter is so simple to make. Just the 2 ingredients will do the trick.

Eggnog is definitely a love it or hate it kind of drink. I don’t know of anyone that “kind of” likes eggnog. You are either a fan or a hater, there is no in-between. My house is divided, there are only two of us that love it, and he is on keto right now, so the egg nog is all mine this year! In a cocktail, or all by itself I will take it any way I can get it.

  • 2 Parts Fireball Whiskey
  • 1 Part Eggnog
  • Ice

What is the History of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey?

According to Fireball’s website, Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey is a popular alcoholic drink that was first developed in Canada in the mid-1980s. For many years, it was relatively unknown outside of Canada. However, in recent years, Fireball has become increasingly popular in the United States, Australia, and Europe.

The drink is made with a blend of Canadian whiskey, cinnamon flavor, and natural sweeteners. It is typically served chilled or over ice.

A brand of the Sazerac company (an alcohol company headquartered in Metairie, Louisiana), Fireball whiskey has a high alcohol content (bottled at 33% alcohol by volume or 66 U.S. proof) and is often used as a shot or mixed into cocktails.

Need Eggnog?

I typically buy eggnog pre-made from the store. However, you can make your own using milk, cream, eggs, and sugar. However, it can be a bit tricky to make.

First, start with a quality eggnog base. You can either buy eggnog pre-made from the store, or make your own using milk, cream, eggs, and sugar. If you’re making your own, be sure to pasteurize the eggs to avoid any potential food safety issues.

Once you have your eggnog base, it’s time to jazz it up with some flavorings. Common additions include rum, whisky, brandy, or vanilla extract. If you’re adding alcohol, start with just a few tablespoons and add more to taste. Too much alcohol will make the eggnog overly boozy and difficult to drink.

Instructions

  1. Mix 2 parts Fireball Whiskey with 1 part Holiday Eggnog into a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until chilled and pour into your favorite shot glass. Serve cold.

What if I am not a fan of Fireball Whiskey?

If you are not a fan of Fireball Whiskey, feel free to substitute another liquor such as Rum, Whiskey, Bourbon, Brandy, Vodka, and Tequila to keep your eggnog an adult drink.

What Else Can You Make With Fireball Whiskey?

If you are a fan of spicy whiskey and cinnamon, you will love Fireball whiskey. You can use it in so many delicious cocktail recipes, or drink it all on its own over ice or as a shot. Want something a little sweet that has a good cinnamon kick to it? Then you must try Fireball Cinnamon Hot Chocolate. This one is just for the grown-ups, for a kid-friendly version, try cinnamon extract instead.

My husband’s favorite is Cherry Coke and Fireball. A new favorite of mine is mixing Fireball Whiskey with creamy and rich holiday eggnog. You can mix it as a cocktail in a glass served over ice, or you can make it as a shot, perfect for your holiday Christmas party.
