Happy Friday folks! The weekend has arrived. If your house is as busy and hectic as mine on the weekends, you will definitely want to whip up a batch of these super easy Crescent Cinnamon Rolls! We stumbled upon this recipe on accident one night, we were all craving something sweet and we didn’t have many options to choose from without making up a whole batch of cookies or a cake, and there was no time for that.
It was movie night at our house and we were in a hurry to sit down to watch. I knew I had a can of Pillsbury seamless crescent rolls (best creation ever!) in the fridge and since everything is better with crescent rolls anyway, we had a winner in the making! You won’t be disappointed when you give these quick and oh so easy crescent cinnamon rolls a try!
Here is how we put them together …
Easy Crescent Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
1 can seamless Pillsbury crescent dough
(This is getting harder and harder to find…If you cant find the seamless, regular will work too just be sure to pinch the seams together very well so the gooey inside doesn’t leak out)
butter (softened)
2 Tbs sugar
1tsp cinnamon
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbs milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly flour your surface. Roll out the crescent dough just slightly to thin it out a little bit. Spread a thin layer of softened butter all over the surface leaving about 1/2 inch along one of the longer sides. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar.
Generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the entire dough.
Begin to roll up the dough using the longer sides.
Cut the rolled dough into 1 – 1 1/2 inch pieces. I used my kitchen shears. makes for easy work and doesn’t squish the dough like a dull knife.
Place the roll pieces cut side down on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
While the rolls are baking mix together the powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze.
Drizzle the glaze over the rolls while they are still hot. and there ya go! An inexpensive and delicious snack in a matter of minutes
