I have only had my Cricut Explore since last year, I was lucky enough to get it right before the holidays, so I was a gift-making machine. I created personal gifts for friends and family, I even took part in my first quarter auction fundraiser with my creations. I learned a lot in very little time. One thing I did learn was that people love personalized gifts on a unique canvas. So I went on the hunt for some crafting blanks to add my creative touches to. Some of my favorites are listed below. One of my favorite things to apply vinyl on is drinking glasses. The Yeti Tumbler has plenty of room for a custom decal. Everyone needs a good quality insulated tumbler.
What a fun idea for a classroom gift. Double Wall Plastic Tumblers with a straw are great for kids and for traveling.
Let’s face it, we all know that one person that is addicted to coffee! Maybe it is YOU, it is definitely ME! Add a fun coffee themed saying, a favorite sports team or even a logo to any smooth Coffee Mug or Glassware.

Personalized quotes on wooden signs are super hot right now. Everyone has a favorite quote they would love to display in their home. There are so many fun crafting blanks in wood for your Cricut Explore projects. Wood Shadow Boxes and Wooden Trays would also make fantastic personalized gifts.
Did you know you can add your Cricut designs to clothing and fashion items? As long as you have the right Iron on Transfer Vinyl you can customize your own T-shirts, Baseball Caps, Tote Bags and so much more!!
Even Cell Phone Cases can be personalized. You can add whatever design you choose. You could even swap out the design to match your outfit every day.
There are countless crafting blanks you can use to customize your own home decor. Smooth Canisters & Storage Containers are a great canvas for labels and organizing your pantry. Other fun items for the kitchen and pantry are Cutting Boards, Dessert Carrying Cases, and even Chalkboards.

Especially if they have a unique name like some of my children do. There are never any store-bought items with their names on them. So we do the next best thing, we make our own!
Let’s face it, party supplies have gotten so ridiculously expensive anymore. Using your Cricut, you can make boring, plain, inexpensive party supplies beautiful! Gift Bags & Party Supplies can be personalized in a snap with the theme of your party. You can even customize the Cards & Invitations to match. Use Cardstock to create banners and indoor decor, personalized Sticker blanks are great for gift bags or favor bags.
Journals & Notebooks are also great gift ideas. Adding a name or a favorite quote to the cover adds that extra special something to an already great gift idea. I made one for my friend for Christmas. I added the quote “Friends are the family we choose” to the cover of Iron on Glitter Vinyl. It was a hit!
One of my favorite things I have seen used for Cricut designs is these fun Glass Krafty Blocks. I have not personally used them for design yet. I have 4 sitting behind me right now waiting for the perfect design. You can add something fun, or elegant to the front of the block. There is actually space in the middle for dried flowers or even a small strand of twinkle lights. They are absolutely gorgeous when completed. I can’t wait to get started on these.
