If you are looking for an easy, fun fall kids activity, you have come to the right place. This Cornucopia activity for kids is perfect for your Thanksgiving gift-giving or table place setting. It would also be a cute treat to give out to the trick or treaters on Halloween. The boys and I made these a few years ago for my co-workers, and they were a huge hit. Even the teens had fun putting them together and giving them away.

- Candy Pieces (we used Reece’s pieces and candy corn)
- Plastic baggies
- Ribbon or string
- Wooden skewer
- Paper towels

Instructions: (Printable Version Below)
Dampen a paper towel and squeeze out most of the water. fold it in half and put it on your microwave safe plate. cover the bottom point of the ice cream cone only with the wet paper towel. I did 2 at a time to speed up the process. Microwave 20 – 30 seconds depending on the power of your microwave.
When you take it out of the microwave BE CAREFUL !! It will be hot!
Working QUICKLY, use your skewer to guide the point into a curl. Hold for 5 seconds just so it can set.
Just look at those curls!
Gather the rest of your supplies and begin to fill the adorable cornucopias!
Once you have enough of the goodies to fill the cone, place the filled cone into the plastic baggie so it’s snug against the edge. Twist the baggie and secure with a ribbon.
Attach a fun frilly bow or gift tag with a clever note or greeting for your recipients. You can use our FREE Printable Labels for Fall Crafts!

LOL you sure about that? I miss having little ones but at the same time it’s kind of nice to have them old enough to be independent haha. thats what grand kids are for 😀
Totally the cutest thing. And that little trick to curl up the end is genius. Shared and pinned…of course. Susie from Chelsea Project
I love these! I will be making these with my kids for Thanksgiving this year, since they are old enough to be crafty outside of paint. I love the curl hack!
