The much-awaited trailer for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie (see movie trailer below) has finally arrived, and now the anticipation for its July 21 premiere has become even more intense. This excitement might even trigger nostalgia and a sudden urge to play with dolls again. However, before you succumb to the toy aisle’s allure, new Malibu Barbie pop-up cafes are here to satisfy your cravings for all things blonde and pink.
ABOUT THE POP-UP CAFES
The cafe experiences are a collaboration between Bucket Listers and Mattel, designed to transport you straight into a 1970s Malibu, California, fully immersed in Barbie’s world. The cafes will feature a life-size Barbie box, exclusive merchandise, and numerous Barbie-themed photo opportunities.
The menu, curated by Masterchef semi-finalist Becky Brown, includes dishes like Pacific Paradise Pancakes, West Coast Wave Wedge Salad, and California Dreamin’ Club Sandwich. (This sounds like a great opportunity for some more of our famous copycat recipes).

The New York location will be situated downtown at City Hall Park, while the Chicago venue will be revealed on W. Jackson Boulevard.
