Peppermint Mocha Fudge – Pin It For Later!

I have been making marshmallow never fail fudge for as long as I can remember. My ex-mother in law taught me how to make it when I was newly married and still oh so young. She would spend hours upon hours, days upon days, making all of the goodies for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Spending time with her in the kitchen is one of my most cherished memories. Boy did I learn a lot. She had some of the best from scratch recipes. The one thing she always made was never fail fudge. Creamy chocolate, rich and decadent fudge. Now don’t get me wrong, I love it just as much, and still to this day make it every year. This year I wanted to try something a little different. I wanted to put a holiday spin on the next batch.

There is nothing better than peppermint to give it that holiday touch. Mocha is the perfect pairing for peppermint and chocolate. My love for mocha runs deep. I’m pretty sure you could tell when I shared the Chocolate Mocha Cupcakes with Kahlua Frosting! Mmmmm, Mocha goes with so many wonderful flavors, this Peppermint Mocha Fudge is just another perfect example.

You won’t believe just how creamy and rich this fudge is. A touch of coffee flavor and a punch of peppermint is a perfect balance and adds that little touch of Christmas to your fudge. If you want even more peppermint flavor, add 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract at the same time you add the vanilla and chocolate chips. The teens aren’t super crazy for peppermint, but love candy canes (go figure) so adding them just to the top is perfect for us.

  1. Boy O Boy does your special fudge look good, really good. There is something about making fudge that has always put me off a bit, but really I want to try it now especially with the peppermint! Pinned it for later.
