Tuesday Tips – Ways to Make Extra Money for the Holidays

Hey guys! I’m back and super exited with another helpful Tuesday Tip for you all.  This past week I have been thinking a lot about the Menu Planning that we went over last week, and thinking about how to save and/or earn a little extra cash to cushion the budget a little. I am always looking for some good ways to make extra money for the holidays myself. I am enrolled in a few programs that can help you do that. Some of them are for reviewing products, some are survey based and some even help you earn money just by doing your normal every day shopping, playing games and browsing the internet.

Tomorrow is October first! Yikes… I know right? ! Which means we have just UNDER 3 months until the Holidays are upon us. Did you just get a little knot in your stomach too? Where did the time go? It is definitely time to start thinking about Christmas and how you are going to buy those extra goodies that the kids are asking for this year.

If you are already wealthy beyond your wildest dreams, this article may not be for you. But the odds are if you have clicked on this page then you are curious just how to earn a little cash sitting in front of your computer. Now don’t get me wrong these are NOT get rich quick schemes and you will most certainly NOT be wealthy beyond your wildest dreams from these programs. But you CAN earn a few extra bucks doing the things you are already doing any way. So what can it hurt?

Lets start with a few survey companies that pay you money taking surveys for them.

I do hope you find something  in the list above that is of interest to you. As far as Surveys go I absolutely love Swagbucks! The bucks add up pretty quick if you are active on there. And if you join their facebook page they always play games and give you a chance to win more swagbucks!

If doing surveys is not quite your thing, there are other ways to earn a little extra cash before the holiday season.

Craft and sell – Make hand made crafts and/or baked goods to sell at craft fairs or on Etsy. Here is a great site that will help you find craft fairs in your area FESTIVAL.net

Offer up your Services – What are you good at? Cooking, cleaning, taking care of children? There are always people that can not do those things well or sometimes just want to hire someone to take  a little stress off them selves. Put an ad in your local newspaper, a lot of times  they offer free ads if they are small and to the point. It’s worth checking into.

Look into working at home as a VA (virtual assistant) Companies and blogs online are always looking for help with tasks they don’t have time to manage. You can do a search online for VA positions. Here is a great article from Indeed.com

Are you an expert in a certain field? Offer up a class, in person or online that you can charge a small fee for to teach your client a skill or a trade. If you are a great speaker and not afraid to stand in front of a crowd, maybe try doing a seminar of sorts.

Clean out your clutter! – Have a yard sale (if the weather is right) There are also so many ways to sell your items online. Ebay of course is the largest and busiest site for selling your goods. But check out your local Buy – Sell – Trade sites on face book. I live in a TINY town and we have at least 3 sites just for BST. You know the old saying one woman’s trash is anothers craft project, DIY project, or treasure 🙂
