My TBT recipes continue ….. Another classic but delicious recipe. You really can’t go wrong if you serve these cheesy, garlicy potatoes with your SALISBURY STEAK ….or any other recipe for that matter.
In our house we are serious garlic lovers. The smell of it roasting is my all time favorite. The nutty sweet aroma you wouldn’t expect from garlic, makes the entire house smell heavenly.
Roasted garlic is my favorite for sure, but this recipe is a close second! Whip some up with your dinner tonight!
The BEST Garlic Mashed Potatoes
5 lbs unpeeled red potatoes (quartered)
1 stick (8 Tbs) butter at room temperature
1/2 Cup grated romano cheese
3 Tbs chopped garlic
1 – 2 teaspoons salt (to taste)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 45 minutes; drain. Stir in butter, cheese, garlic, salt and oregano.
- Mash with a potato masher or with an electric mixer.
