I stumbled across this copycat recipe a few years back, and thoroughly enjoy making it for the family.
I have made it in a loaf pan, as dinner rolls, and as a braided loaf as seen in the picture above. Of course, it’s delicious no matter what the shape it is.
Ingredients
1 C water
½ C sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp salt
1 Tbls butter
3 1/3 C bread flour (I’ve used regular flour, and it came out the same for me)
2 tsp yeast
Instructions
Put ingredients in the bread machine and set for dough cycle. (I didn’t have a bread machine when I made mine so I used a regular stand mixer) When complete, remove and separate into three sections. Roll each out like snakes and mesh ends together. Braid and press the ends together. Place in a baking dish and allow to rise for 25-30 minutes.
