Ingredients:

1 3 – 5 lb. rack of Pork Baby Back ribs

Barbecue Sauce – Use your favorite

Dry Rub ingredients:

3/4 cup light brown sugar

1 tbs garlic powder

1 tbs onion powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tbs parsley

1 tbs season salt

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 250 degrees

Mix together all dry rub ingredients with a fork. making sure you break up any clumps in the sugar. set aside

Place your pork baby back ribs bone side up on a layer of aluminum foil large enough to wrap the entire rack of ribs completely. Using a sharp knife make small slits along the the fat (skin like) sections on the back side of the  ribs. Generously sprinkle dry rub on both side of the rack and rub it in to the meat.

With the bone side facing up tightly wrap the ribs with foil.

Cook the ribs  in a 250 degree oven for 2 hours. Do not peek! Leave the ribs wrapped and the oven door closed for the whole 2 hours.

When the ribs have cooked for 2 hours, remove them from the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Remove the ribs from the foil and drain off any excess liquid. Using a basting brush, coat both sides of the ribs in a thin layer of your favorite barbecue sauce.

Place your ribs meat side up back in the 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. brush on another layer of barbecue sauce and bake for another 15 minutes. I do this 3 or 4 times for maximum barbecue-ness! After each 15 minutes of cook time your barbecue sauce layer will “dry” from cooking. It is actually being baked right into the already tender pork.

Remove ribs from the oven and let the rack of ribs rest for 10 – 15 minutes before slicing into portions. Perfect Baked Barbecue Ribs every time!
