Carnations are available all year long, and a very simple yet beautiful way to jazz up any table setting.
If you can’t find carnations in the color you desire, why not color them yourself?
It’s actually easier than you think. A little food coloring and you can have any color you want!
Just follow these simple instructions….
Materials needed:
White carnations
Food coloring – your choice of colors
Vase filled half full with water
Scissors
Add the food coloring to the water. Be sure to add lots to make it a deep rich color.
Snip the ends of your carnations under running water. Place the freshly cut flowers immediately into the vase of colored water.
Leave them over night to soak up all that color. And it’s as simple as that.

Try adding different colors to separate vases to make a full rainbow of beautiful flowers.
This technique will work with other white flowers as well.
