Our Favorite 20 Minute Easy Marinara Recipe
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic - minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 2 - 3 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 - 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar (to taste)
- 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
- salt & pepper to taste
- On medium heat, heat the oil and garlic in a medium sauce pan. Saute the garlic just until fragrant (1 - 2 minutes).
- Add the tomatoes, bay leaves, oregano, sugar, tomato paste, salt & pepper.
- Simmer on low to medium heat for 20 minutes.
- Serve over your favorite pasta or on the side of your favorite appetizers.
