Nothing is more satisfying that salty, creamy and crunchy goodness.
Ingredients
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ Cup water
  • 1 Pillsbury Recipe Creations Crescent Sheet
  • 2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Cup Salsa
  • Doritos (11 oz bag)
  • Optional toppings:
  • Lettuce
  • Sour Cream
  • Guacamole
  • Black Olives
  • Cilantro
Instructions
  1. In a medium skillet, brown the ground beef just until no more pink is visible. Drain off excess grease. Mix taco seasoning and water into the ground beef. Set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Lay the Pillsbury crescent sheet in a 9 x 13 baking pan, pressing to cover the entire surface and slightly up the side of the pan. Using a fork poke a few holes in the pastry sheet. Pop the pastry sheet in the oven for 3 – 5 minutes just to give it a head start on baking.
  4. Remove the pastry sheet from the oven and begin layering your taco pie.
  5. Start with a layer of crushed Doritos enough to almost cover the pastry sheet.
  6. Layer half of the ground meat mixture, half of the salsa and half of the cheese.
  7. Repeat layers once more. Doritos, beef, salsa and cheese.
  8. Bake in 350-degree oven for 15 – 20 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
