Super Fun Candy Corn Cupcakes!

Perfect for Halloween, or whenever you're having a craving.
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • Ingredients on the box mix you purchased
  • yellow liquid food coloring
  • red liquid food coloring
  • paper cupcake liners
  • 1 can vanilla frosting
  • sprinkles, candy, toppings (optional)
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare cake mix as directed on the back of the box. Add in 11 drops of yellow food coloring. Mix well so there are no streaks.
  3. Spoon yellow batter into cupcake liners ⅓ of the way up.
  4. Add in 7 drops of red food coloring to the already yellow cake batter. (yellow and red make orange!) Mix well.
  5. If you would like your orange more on the red side, add in a couple drops of red at a time to adjust the color. If it is to red, add a few more drops of yellow. Until you find your desired color.
  6. Spoon the orange cake batter on top of the yellow cake batter so it fills the cupcake liners ⅔ full. Do not over fill.
  7. Bake in a 350 degree oven 15 – 18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let your cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
