Crispy Green Bean Fries with Breadcrumbs
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. Fresh green beans – washed and the ends trimmed off
  • 1 Tbs corn starch
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbs Sriracha
  • 2 Tbs milk
  • 1 sleeve buttery crackers – crushed fine
  • For Dipping Sauce:
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbs ketchup
  • 1 Tbs Sriracha (add more or less depending on how much heat you like)
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. After washing and cleaning your green beans, sprinkle 1 Tbs of cornstarch over them and stir to coat each one as much as you can. Adding the corn starch will help the egg mixture stick to the green beans.
  3. In a small bowl mix together the egg, sriracha and milk.
  4. Pour your cracker crumbs into a separate bowl.
  5. Working with a few green beans at a time, dip them into the egg mixture then into the crackers coating on both sides.
  6. Place your coated green beans onto a non greased baking sheet. Close together, but not touching.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes on each side. If the coating starts to come off when you go to turn them, just cook on one side. You could also turn the broiler on for just a few minutes to brown the tops if you prefer.
  8. Remove from the baking pan and serve warm with Spicy Sriracha Dipping Sauce.
  9. To make the Spicy Sriracha Dipping Sauce:
  10. Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined.
