Baked Ziti Recipe - Make Ahead Freezer Meals

Serves: 10 servings
- 1- 1 pound box ziti
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 3 jars of your favorite spaghetti sauce
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese (separated)
- ½ cup Parmesan or cheddar cheese
- ¾ cup sour cream
- Boil pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown up ground beef. Drain off the fat. Mix in sauce and let simmer 5 minutes to heat through.
- Ladle 1 large spoonful of your sauce on the bottom of the pan and spread it around. This will keep your pasta from sticking.
- Pour half of your noodles into the pan
- Lay 6 slices of provolone cheese on top of the noodles. Covering as much of the noodles as your can (Add more cheese if you like)
- Spoon your sour cream on top of the provolone cheese. spreading over as much of the pan as you can.
- Spread half of your sauce over pan
- Add the remaining half of your noodles
- Sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese over your noodles.
- Spread the remaining sauce over cheese.
- Top your baked ziti with ½ cup mozzarella and ½ cup parmesan (or cheddar).
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 – 40 minutes until cheese melts and the edges are browned.
