Instructions
Roasting Hazelnuts in an Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F
Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper
Spread the hazelnuts onto the baking sheet in an even layer. Then bake for about 12-15 minutes, stirring once or twice.
Once the nuts are done baking, remove the hazelnuts from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes.
Bonus tip: Once they are cool enough to handle, rub the hazelnuts together in your hands or with a clean dish towel to remove as much of the skin as possible.
Roasting Hazelnuts on a Stove
To roast hazelnuts on the stovetop, start by adding them to a dry skillet over medium heat.
Stir frequently, until they are evenly toasted and begin to release their oils (should take about five minutes).
Once they are done, remove the nuts from the skillet. Then place them on a plate or clean dish towel to cool.
Bonus tip: Once they are cool enough to handle, lightly rub the hazelnuts together in your hands or with a clean dish towel to remove as much of the skin as possible.
Roasting Hazelnuts in an Air Fryer
Simply add the hazelnuts to the air fryer basket, making sure they are in an even layer.
Air fry at 350°F for five minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Once they are done, remove them from the air fryer. Then place them on a plate or clean dish towel to cool.
Bonus tip: Once they are cool enough to handle, lightly rub the hazelnuts together in your hands or with a clean dish towel to remove as much of the skin as possible.
