Making dinner in the crock pot is an easy and delicious way to have your meal ready when you are. I am a huge fan of crock pot meals, and this mouth watering Balsamic & Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Loin is one of our absolute favorites. The teens have given this recipe 4 thumbs up! Just a warning to all of you, there usually isn’t much left when they are through for leftovers. Â After experimenting with the ingredients a bit, I think we have found the perfect balance between sweet and tangy. You can even use this simple but very tasty glaze recipe on chicken, shrimp or even steak!
- For the Roast:
- 1 3 - 5 pound pork loin roast
- 1 Tbs salt
- 1 Tbs black pepper
- 1 Tbs garlic powder
- 1 Tbs onion powder
- ½ Tbs sage
- 1 cup water
- For the Glaze:
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup water
- 2 Tbs soy sauce
- 1 garlic clove - minced
- ½ tsp ginger
- 2 Tbs corn starch
- For the Roast:
- In a small bowl mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and sage.
- Rub the spice mixture over the entire pork loin.
- Place pork loin in the crock pot with the water.
- Cook on low for 6 - 7 hours
- while the roast is cooking, prepare the glaze:
- Combine all glaze ingredients in a small saucepan. On medium - low heat, bring to a gentle boil. Continue to boil until your sauce thickens. About 3 - 4 minutes.
- About one hour BEFORE the roast is done, coat with the glaze.
- I like to do this 2 or 3 times with in the last hour of the cook time.
- When you can gently pull the pork apart with a fork you know your roast is done.
- Remove from the crock pot and let rest on a platter for 10 minutes.
- Top with more glaze before serving.
This wonderful Balsamic & Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Loin is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Please let me know if you decide to give it a try and what your thoughts are on the recipe.

Oh boy, you’ve outdone yourself here. Just the thought of the glaze and melt off the bone pork is enough for me to say yes. Plus, it’s a crock pot recipe so perfect anytime, but espcially this time of year.
Nothing like a good cook all day roast on a cold winters day for sure. The glaze just puts it over the top. Hope you have a chance to try it! Thanks Sue 🙂

With COVID isolation, I was happy to find your recipe!!! Put the roast in the crock pot and went off for a long, spring ride. Came home to the welcoming scent from the crock pot and went right to work on the glaze. OMG, the glaze is amazing! Thanks for making us smile today! Joyceanne
