Tuesday Tips: Your Thanksgiving Meal – The Big Day

Yikes! Thanksgiving is now upon us. These last 5 weeks of planning Your Thanksgiving Meal has gone by so fast. I will say though, having more than half of my “work” already done fore me is a wonderful feeling. I am such a procrastinator I never have things planned that far ahead of time. With the tasks over the last 5 weeks written and planned already I was able to have almost all of my grocery shopping done. Except for the perishables. My decor is ready to go and my seating and linens are all pressed and arranged.

These last couple days are absolutely the most important. It’s time! Two days from now you will be gathered around the table with all of your loved ones, sharing a fantastic meal together. For now, it is time to get your game face on and finish up your planning. If you have not been following along you can see all of our past weeks tasks by CLICKING HERE. It would be a lot of work to catch up in 2 days. But it might make the whole process just a little easier. There is also some FREE Printables you can use to help your planning and shopping go a little smoother.

Your tasks for the  final 2 days of planning:

Double check your grocery list and pick up all remaining items including perishables.

Remove any frozen sides or desserts from your freezer

Bake all pies, refrigerate if needed.

Set and prepare your table. Press linens if you have not done so yet. Need ideas for your holiday table? Check out my dear friend Anj’s Holiday table from Making My Apartment A Home.

Prepare all remaining side dishes the day before if you can. Make sure all your beverages are cold and you have plenty of ice.

Always use your cooking plan to make the days meal preparing and cooking go smoothly.

I hope the last few weeks have helped you keep your head on straight about this incredible holiday meal planning. I know I have had lots of fun following along with you and eliminating as much stress as possible. Have a wonderful and very Happy Thanksgiving! From my family to yours!

Lots of love! … xo
