Candy Cane Wreath

Another wonderful Dollar Store craft for you to try out! I just love being able to come up with decorations and ideas that don’t break the bank. If I can find the stuff on sale, on clearance and even better – at the Dollar store I’m in! We found these cute plastic candy canes last year at the Dollar Tree. We turned it into this adorable Candy Cane Wreath. There were 6 candy canes per package and we used 3 packages to make this wreath.

Using a little hot glue we glued the 2 curved sides and a dot on the end to stick 2 together.
Once we had 9 sets of 2 (they look like a heart at this point) we glued each heart back to back with another set until we formed our wreath shape.

Then we decorated!

Everything that we used to decorate was also from the dollar store. Except the snowman in the middle, he was an ornament at one time. We just took the loop off of him and glued him to the center.

You can add as much or as little as you want to this adorable little wreath. They even sell “fat” candy cane ornaments those work great too. Just cut the loop off and glue away!

Atach a ribbon through your wreath and viola! It’s ready to hang.

Another super easy craft that is very much craft fair worthy. Give it a try and let me know what you come up with.

  1. Did you take the wrappers off of the candy canes? I did not, they seemed a bit sticky without the wrappers. I glued mine up and a day later the glue failed and it crashed to the floor. I’m thinking the glue does not stick well to the plastic wrap. Oh well, I tried.
